Instructions
- Prepare the Patties: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until just combined, then shape into 4-6 oval patties.
- Brown the Patties: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the patties on both sides for about 2-3 minutes. This step is optional but adds extra flavor.
- Make the Gravy: In a separate bowl, whisk together beef broth, onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Combine in the Crockpot: Place the browned patties in the crockpot, then pour the gravy mixture over them, ensuring they are well coated.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the patties are cooked through and tender.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve over mashed potatoes or rice to enjoy the rich gravy.
